About Matt
Matt Loftus is a compassionate coach, accredited with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Highly sought after, having coached C-suite executives, athletes, founders, emerging and senior leaders; from a range of backgrounds and industries around the world.
Matt is passionate about coaching to suit each individual. Matt is known to be a disciplined yet caring coach when working with clients, whether individuals on their own personal or professional journey, or teams working together in an organization.
Alongside my work as an ICF-accredited Executive Coach, I have completed the full professional training in Compassionate Inquiry, the approach developed by Dr Gabor Maté. This year-long, 330-hour training has deeply informed how I work, helping me support clients with greater depth, presence, and compassion.
My approach is thoughtful, grounded, and emotionally intelligent. I aim to create a space that feels both safe and stretching, where clients can think clearly, speak honestly, and move forward with greater confidence and alignment.
My background spans executive coaching, leadership development, education, and consultancy in suicide prevention and postvention across the UK. Across all of my work, one belief remains central: people matter, and the quality of our leadership and lives is shaped by how well we understand ourselves and others.
For the past two years, Matt has led a brand-new ‘resilience coaching’ program for UK elite sport; with clients including the Premier League, GB Archery, UK Motorsport, and England Lacrosse. He continues to support elite sports organizations in the UK, using his own compassionate approach to high-performance.
Alongside working with his own private clients, Matt is an affiliate Executive Coach at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland on the world-renowned High-Performance Leadership Program (HPL).
